Thank you for your interest in the Anne Sippi Clinic for the Treatment of
Schizophrenia. We hope the information enclosed will be of help in
understanding our program and in answering any questions you may have. We
encourage you to contact us at any time if you need any further information.
The Anne Sippi Clinic is located near the California State University of Los
Angeles. It is a 32 bed, community care facility, offering intensive bio-
psycho-social treatment for almost every facet of disabling mental illness.
The clinic cannot accept anyone for treatment under the age of 18, nor can it
accept anyone over the age of 59. Most of the patients receiving treatment
are young adults in their early twenties and thirties.
The fee for treatment is $160.00 per day, this is all inclusive. While living
at our facilities residents may collect social security, when eligible.
Our goal at the Anne Sippi Clinic is to help people learn how to help
themselves, to reduce the terror and the anger, to establish a feeling of
dignity and self respect through the knowledge that their illness need not
continue to ruin their lives, that there is hope and getting well can be a
reality and not just a frustrating, unfulfilled dream.
The facility staff is made up of dedicated mental health professionals who
have been trained in current, innovative and unique psychotherapy techniques
for the social rehabilitation of the mentally ill. In addition to daily,
intensive individual psychotherapy, the clinic provides group therapy,
movement therapy, art therapy, re-socialization and milieu programs. The case
managers, a group of energetic and enthusiastic individuals, make a
significant contribution to the treatment program. They are available 24
hours a day, seven days a week, to help comfort, supervise activities of daily
living and provide structure for the residents. The treatment team also
includes a board certified psychiatrist to help each resident with their
specific medical needs. Medication is never the treatment focus at the Anne
Sippi Clinic. When necessary, it is used cautiously, carefully and
moderately.
For information regarding admissions procedures or other questions you may
have, please feel free to contact us at the Anne Sippi Clinic between the
hours of 8:00a.m. to 4p.m. Monday through Friday.
Sincerely yours,
Michael D. Rosberg, Ph.D.
